About Me

Jordyn Z.

I am a first-born, introverted, Libra. I am a problem solver who has worked hard on being an active listener versus a quick fixer. I have a severe case of wanderlust and am always planning my next getaway. My communication style is matter-of-fact and direct. I am proudly humble, and hesitantly confident. Friends say I'm funny, my kids say I have a potty mouth, and my mom doesn't like it when I wear white after Labor Day (love you mom!) So yeah, I break the "rules" sometimes, because I value everyone's right to live their truest and most beautiful life. I like to knock down barriers and construct compassionate boundaries.

I was diagnosed in 2005 with Crohn's disease, a chronic autoimmune disorder that affects the small intestines. Because of this, I have a unique perspective on changing habits, and I understand the unpredictable barriers in place when living with a chronic condition. Living with an often "silent" disease can be incredibly exhausting. But it doesn't mean that you can't succeed in making changes to your daily routines to become your best self! I am right there with you, feeling frustrated with my body on a regular basis. You are not alone.

For what it's worth, I believe that women should have full autonomy over their bodies; I believe everyone should be allowed to fully live as themselves in any way that makes them feel whole; I believe there is still a lot of work needed to undo social constructs around race, gender, and class; and I believe everyone deserves to rest in peace- before they die.
